TECHNICAL ISSUES:
TCF Chess Competition Procedures are effective.
- 2. CATEGORIES-PARTICIPATION-APPLICATION :
Seyhan Municipality Atatürk Chess Festival consists of three different categories.
- i. Open Tournament: 9 rounds. 90'+30"/move. Open for all applications.
- ii. Under 16 Tournament: 9 rounds. 60'+30"/ move. Open for all players aged 16 and under 16.
- iii. Blitz Tournament: 5 Minutes. 13 rounds, if participation is below 120, 12 rounds and if below 80 11 rounds. Open for applications.
- iv. Invited FIDE titled players could play in all categories.
- v. Application fee is charged during the application. The fees are paid to Turkish Chess Education Foundation. Application fee: Open Tournament 20USD or 25 YTL, Under 16 category and blitz tournament: 8.USD or 10 YTL,
- vi. Katılım bedeli başvuru sırasında geçici belge ile alınır. Teknik toplantıda asıl makbuzlar verilir.
- vii. Applications are accepted until October 27, 2007 Saturday at 18:00 to the attached centers.
- viii. Venue: Seyhan Belediyesi Kahraman Olgaç Satranç Merkezi: Turgut Özal Bulvarı Polis evi kavşağı Seyhan - ADANA
Accomodation: Guesthouse, dormitory and possibilities of economic accomodadtion are going to be supported by the Tournament Directorate. Highest rated 10 GMs, 7 highest ELO rated Turkish players are going to be provided full accomodation by Seyhan Municipality.
RATING CALCULATION:
The results of Open and Under 16 ELO and National Rating calculations.
- 3. TIE BREAKS:
- i. For Open and Under 16 tournaments, Median-Buchholz-1-2 (from below) Berger, regression, the result of the game between the players methods are applied respectively.
- ii. For medal prizes, tie breaks are the criteria.
- iii. Sharable prizes are going to be distributed among the shared places. A players cannot receive more than one prize in one category. This player receives the higher money prize.
- iv. 7. APPEALS:
In accordance of TCF Appeal Committees Proecure, an appeals commitee is formed to evaulate the appeals. Appeals, should be made at most 15 minutes after the round that the relevant game took place. The deposit for the appeals is 50 USD.
8. SPECIAL PRIZES:
In accordance with the quantities and standings as specified below, a total prize of 20.000 USD is awarded by Adana Seyhan Municipality.

BLITZ TOURNAMENT: A total of 2500 USD is distributed to 20% number of players of the list of players in ratio.
